I have been seeking superior quality handcrafted Italian leather briefcases for over a decade now. It is my mission to find something better than I have already found. I am proud of the AVVOCATO as it brilliantly surpassed all of my benchmarks.
All of our bags use excellent real Italian leather, but there is something slightly superior about this one: the use of buffalo leather as opposed to cow leather. Buffalo leather is generally considered to be more durable.
The handle is very nice. It is thick and soft resulting in a very comfortable experience for your hand. It is also slightly longer than many handles that we have seen allowing for larger hands to fit the way they were meant to fit.
The closures do not fuss. The choice of hardware was extremely smart as it is good looking, functional, and, in my opinion, durable. I have seen the kinds of closure that come back for warranty service: this is not the kind to do that. Also, having two closures gives you two (not three) settings that you can choose from depending on how full the bag is. Normally you will use both.
The interior is also very cool, and unique compared to the bags that we offer. The first thing that I checked was to see if my Note 3 (the same size as an iPhone 6 Plus) fit in the cell phone pocket. It does! (much to my surprise) but only without the cover. I also like how they used red suede to line the flap but the interior was left unlined. Three compartments is a rare and useful feature. I would use the middle compartment for my laptop. A 13" screen would fit with room to spare.
Finally, there is the strap. I prefer cotton straps over leather straps and having the shoulder pad is a fantastic addition. The strap is wide and adjustable. It can also be easily removed.
You have to be a connoisseur with refined taste to enjoy this bag to the fullest. I called it AVVOCATO, Italian for lawyer, because it is quite refined in appearance as well. I feel that this is the only briefcase that packs all the qualities of Italian full grain leather AND the refined looks of a slick design. Let me know what you think.
