This technique (patented by Marco's Campomaggi brand) not only gives Marco's bags their vintage, weathered look, but also makes each single piece really a one-of-a-kind work of art.
The leather used is 100% Italian full-grain leather - the finest quality - and the more you wear it, the more charm and personality it acquires. The fabrics and straps are all made of 100% environmentally-friendly cotton, adding to the timelessness of Marco's bags.
Everything about his bags exude character - from the uniquely-dyed leather and the distressed hardware to the confident designs that invite you to "come see what I'm made of".

A word of caution: this bag is intentionally made to be imperfect. It's been distressed and then distressed some more by a unique manufacturing process, resulting in a downright beaten, weathered, and non-uniform look. This patented technique GUARANTEES THAT NO TWO BAGS ARE EXACTLY ALIKE. Because each "skin" is unique in the way it absorbs color, stretches and shrinks, each finished bag is distinct in its color, tonality, texture, and even shape.

Remarkably vintage, "weathered" look. The natural tone of the leather is preserved, so the bag only acquires subtle earthy color "nuances" from the dying process.
About the Olive Brown Color Variations
All Olive Brown bags are treated with the same green dye which results in an earthy, multi-hued brown. However, each batch yields slightly different results - and add to that the uniqueness of each individual bag, and we've got bags with different "shades" of olive brown. Here is the breakdown:
- Light Olive Brown: the ligher tone allows the green hue to show through more, giving the bag a "military" brown
- Dark Olive Brown: has a rich, darker-brown tone that dominates
Cristoforo Colombo - or Christopher Columbus, as we all know him - requires little introduction. Please note that although this bag is named after the famous navigator, we can neither confirm nor deny whether he actually used a bag like this one.
