These tapestries are made of ramie, an extremely durable and lustrous fiber that is similar to linen, and often used in ultra-high-class designerwear clothing. Ramie, also called China grass, boasts a high resistance to bacteria, mildrew, rotting, and insect attacks, as well as a natural stain-resisting ability.

Heavenly Bamboo, or "Nanten", is known for the leaves and berries that change colors throughout the year. This tapestry depicts the plant during the change of seasons from late summer to autumn, with its bright red, ripe berries and green foliage starting to just turn color. The gold accents in the leaves add a vibrant touch to this authentic tapestry.
